You can influence the Town Budget

The Town Council is giving concerned citizens two new opportunities to give input on the Mayor’s proposed Town Budget this year.

The first is a questionnaire asking for what you think should be prioritized, what services should be expanded or reduced, etc. We’ve posted a PDF of the questionnaire here for your convenience. All questionnaires need to include your name and address and are due to the Legislative Council Office by April 2nd.

The second, and more direct, means of influencing the Council will come this Monday (24 March 2008), when the Council will hold a meeting to solicit public comment on the proposed budget before they begin interviews, deliberations, etc. The meeting will start at 7PM in Council Chambers at the Old Town Hall. We’re asking every HART member who is able to attend this meeting. We will be organizing ourselves in the Council Chambers at 6PM. Please attend if you can.
